Handcrafted Silver and Wood Jewelry to Complement Your Unique Style

If you see something you want, but it isn't in a size you need, just call or send an email. All of my work is "custom", so making one to your needs doesn't raise the costs but, just remember, no two pieces are ever the same. They make machines that try to do that. ( - :

A new style of ring added to my group

For those of you that have visited my booth you know I like to show 'How things are made'. Below find the steps I take to make a Channel Ring. And for some of you, "Yes", I could purchase the bands already manufactured, but then, could I really call my rings 'Hand Made'?

The first step is to create an inner band using sheet silver. Once formed and soldered together I then create 2 rings using square silver wire to fit around the outside of the band. All are then soldered together.

The second step is to 'true up' the inner channel and make it an even width. The band is then polished.

I found a supply of exotic woods in a 2.5x2.5 inch thickness just prefect for rings. Tornillo, Zebrawood, Purpleheart, Padauk, Jatoba, Wenge and Cocobolo to name a few.

Next step is to form the wood to fit the channel ring groove. Black Palm wood shown

Next step is to break the ring of wood, place it around the channel band and glue in place.

Final steps involve turning the wood down, final silver polishing and UV acrylic coating. Black Palm channel ring shown.

As you can see...I'm having fun making them !!!

Sorry that I haven’t been setting up my stall of late, but the temperatures have pushed me indoors. My sitting under the tent isn’t a problem, but (ugh) putting up and taking that tent down are. Lol, I’m not as young as I sometimes think I am, if you know what I mean.

Unique Handmade Jewelry

My handmade jewelry is truly one of a kind and unique, making it the perfect addition to any jewelry collection. All cabochons I personalty cut and polished. All silver was bought as sheet or wire and formed into what you see. Only some of the Jump Rings or Earring loops were purchased from third parties.

Hand Craftsmanship

At GGL Jewelries, I take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of my handmade jewelry. I provide a lifetime (sorry, my lifetime, not yours) on all silver jewelry breakages due to incorrect workmanship. I will repair or replace, to the best of my humble ability, the piece of jewelry to correct any problem.

Something to think about.....

Just to let you know, no two pieces are the same. I may repeat a design, but there are always changes and deviations. What you will get, if you purchase one of my pieces, is my attempt to be artistic, satisfy my need to create, and to honestly make something of value for myself as well as for you.
